The inspiration for this title came from a single musical phrase I liked from The Ten Commandments. I haven't watched it in a long time so I don't know how similar it still sounds. Originally I called the song Pharoah, Let My People Go. Then I called it 40 Years in the Desert. There are many fourties in the Bible which is how it got its present name. I felt that the song, having been written during lent, would probably be better named 40 Days in the Desert or 40 Days for short.
